Demolition and reconstruction of the rear and front retaining walls, with excavation of the upper garden area.
Border Rock Walls will demolish and remove the existing crib retaining walls at the rear and front of the property, excavate the upper garden area above the rear wall to create a more manageable, level space, and construct new concrete block retaining walls in their place using a large interlocking concrete block system.
At the rear of the property this includes a new retaining wall running 22 lineal metres, and a second wall above it running 18 lineal metres, set back from the rear fence. At the front of the property, a new wall will be constructed in three sections, stepping down in height along its length. All new walls include drainage aggregate, agricultural drainage pipe and geotextile filter fabric behind the wall face.
The upper garden area above the rear wall (approximately 82m²) will be excavated to create a level, low-maintenance space, with the excavated material removed from site.
We will also remove and dispose of the five golden cane palm stumps and root balls from site, once the trees themselves have been felled by others (see Exclusions). Colorbond fence panels will be removed as needed for site access and refitted on completion, existing timber sleepers will be removed and disposed of.

Given the height of the new walls, we recommend including structural engineering design, certification and site inspection. This has been priced separately below as an optional addition — let us know if you’d like it included and we’ll issue it as a variation to the accepted quote.
